// The break shapes arrived today. The interior was painted and the exterior endcaps were primed. Grady, an artist from CCA, started to paint the bedroom (finish product shown in picture). The glass subcontractors came in for a dry fit run of the back painted glass in the kitchen. More work was done on the deck and skin.

// Hey everyone, I'm Allison! I'm project manager for Team California and as such have had the opportunity to work with some of the most brilliant, self driven, and talented students in the world. I'd like to echo Sean's appreciation for all of the students who are putting their blood, sweat and most importantly time into this massive effort.
Now we are down to the final fifty! What an interesting ride it has been and is still to come. Sean captured it perfectly commenting on the difficulty, yet rewarding character of this project. I'd really like to hit on the excitement still miraculously in the air. Although our team is enduring 14 hour work days in the 100 degree heat, everyone still has a smile on their faces. We just booked our flight tickets to DC and are starting to register for the competition. Even though there is so much work to be done, we are getting extremely excited to finally compete. To finally get the chance to show the world what we've done and to finally see the other houses! How exciting!
I'd also like to talk a bit about money. We are at an extremely low point in our national economy and yet we have support from many amazing companies. Whether it's a financial commitment or just the ability to listen to us when we need help, our partners believe in us and that's what's pushing us forward. As a quick reminder, please check out our donation page if you're interested in joining our amazing partners!
Lastly, we're almost there! If you see any of us around campus, or just want to drop a line in the blog, wish us luck, this is the culmination of a two year process and we've all been working so hard!

// The east side ramps are finished! The decking looks amazing! The cracks inbetween the boards are consistent throughout the entire deck, which makes it look very sharp! More electrical is being done. The siding is still being worked on but we are finishing the east side.
Father Reites has been putting in the lighting and has been crimping more wires. There are so many wires in this house! Summers & Sons has been getting ready for our electricity! The mechanical room will have electricity at the end of today, the rest of the house will have electricity tomorrow! WOW! That is crazy exciting!
Tim and Jeff have been working hard with the mechanical controls and mechanical room as well. All the wiring is being worked on. The thermal system will be commissioned tomorrow and then online on Thursday! We might be behind, but we are making a lot of progress!
// Last night we held tours for the Board of Fellows of Santa Clara University. There were around 150 people there. The tours went extremely well! Everyone was really excited and gave us a lot of great ideas on how to raise money, things to incorporate into the house and ways to get other people involved. After the tours we were invited to their dinner meeting where we were served a delicious meal after a long day of work!
