Refract House uses Lucid Design Group’s Building Dashboard® to monitor and display the home’s consumption levels. The system displays energy and water usage on a customized user-friendly website. Data from sensors located about the house are sent to Lucid Design Group’s servers every minute, where the information on consumption levels is posted to a website.

Our roof's full area is utilized by photovoltaic panels. To preserve the integrated look of the panels with the home, they are slanted at a more modest angle than convention calls for. However, even with this, the Refract House produces much more electricity than it uses, making it a Net-Zero-Energy home.
